Day 5 - Cuttyhunk Island

We did not sail today. I played with some other kids from another boat, and we went fishing. We explored a beach.

Cuttyhunk island is really cool. We found a one-room schoolhouse. There are only two kids who go there, and they are sibling- a brother and a sister. We also saw a little library and a little store and a fog bell. We hiked up the hill to the highest point, and we saw a really pretty view and butterflies.

Tomorrow we might go to Martha's Vineyard. We can see it from Cuttyhunk. We can also see the very top of the Newport bridge from the top of the hill on the island.

At the Cuttyhunk Elementary School - a really cool, one-room schoolhouse

  1. Caitlin,
You look really cool on the bosun's chair.

We want to know how do you get on the bosun's chair?
    Yikes,
Can you imagine if we had only one room for our school? Oh my...
    Did you catch any fish?

  2. Thanks! The bosun's chair is down low on the deck, and then I slide in the back and clip the front. Then my dad uses the halyard (lines that go up the mast) to pull me up.
    No, no fish :(

    Miss you!
    Caitlin
